Apple Inc. is also a company develops in an incredible space during these years. For instance, for the first quarter of its fiscal, which ended last December 25, 2010, Applr posted record revenue of $26.74 billion. This puts the value of Apple’s stocks per diluted share to $6.54. The director of Apple Inc. clearly understands that high-technique couldn’t be the only factor to promote the company. Good employees are also one of the most important reasons. Apple Inc. also treat their employees very well; it offers a 401K plan, a stock purchase plan, education reimbursement, a 25% discount on Apple products, and paid vacation. These benefits and the respect make employees have deep interesting to stay in Apple. According to Acrenshaw,
“I got the opportunity to speak with someone from customers support. She told me that they have strict policies about divulging information on various things, but she was nice enough to answer a simple question. “Do you like working for Apple?” She said “I would not trade it for anything.””(Acrenshaw 3)
Although there are several strait rules to restraint workers in Apple Inc. which help directors to manage the company effectively. But the benefits and treatment with full respect still make employees persist to stay in Apple with no reason. Workers in Apple have full passion, they do love what they are doing and the place they are working at. They feel contented to be treated by this company; as a result, they also get enough motivation to work hard.

#26 Quotes (3)

In order to earn more profits, some companies intend to abuse their employees and use them illegally. While the employees suffer a lot of pain in both physical and mental aspects because of the unfair treatment, the company will also face a lot of troubles when the government and society find out the operation of these enterprises.
The reputation of those companies will be poorer which reduce the amount of clients. And those companies may also face the financial crisis. According to Stephanie Armour,
Roughly 40 lawsuits have been filed by employees who say they were forced to work overtime for no pay. The company is facing a sexual discrimination lawsuit in California that could become the largest case in history. And overtime and sexual bias lawsuits could cost the company millions of dollars; similar class-action cases involving overtime claims at other companies have brought verdicts as $90 million.
Employees in Wal-mart can’t bear the unjust treatment anymore, so they sue the company. From the number out of lawsuits, it’s easy to see that the problem of unfair treatment in Wal-mart is serious. A lot of employees can’t bear such unjust treatment like unequal payment with the work and gender discrimination. As a result, the company also meets considerable difficulties since the expensive fee for those suit cases. These events show that unfair remuneration and care to employees not only bring a lot of displeasure to employees, but also cause a lot of trouble to the company. When those scandals exposed to the world, companies must offer a lot of compensation and accept the critique.

#25 Quotes (2)

Google, a seven year old internet communications and technology company, top this year’s “100 Best Companies to Work out” list among over 440 companies. People may wonder what makes a company growing so rapidly. The right director and high technology are important factors; however, excellent employees are the most essential element. It’s obvious to see Google understand the enormous foundation of the workers and treat them very well. Like the Milton Moskowitz, the co-author of 100 Best List says,
“It could be the food – eleven gourmet restaurant on their Mountain view campus that is incomparable to at other companies. It could be the special ad unique benefits that include opportunities, to learn, grow, travel and have wildly zany fun during the workday. It could be the more thoughtful offerings provided to Googlers such as a $500 take-out meal fund for new parents.”(cited as Why is Google so Great, 1)
From Milton Moskowirz’s description, Google put in a great deal of effort into making the best conditions for workers. The working environment, not only the offices, but also the resting areas are comfortable. Workers get a lot of chances to learn a lot of new things instead of just using the same skills again and again, and they have plenty of time to travel to famous sites. Moreover, the workers can receive comprehensive care when they are in special period. Employees working in Google are very lucky. While they working hard to the company, the company also reward a lot. Because Google treat people with respect and support their creative endeavors,, employees have really pleased life and eager to work in Google for a long time. It’s undoubted that workers in Google have higher quality of lives and have more passion to work harder than workers in other enterprises because of the pleasant treatment.

#24 Quote(1)

After the revealing of the scandal, a lot of media focused on look for the reason why so many employees in Foxconn com choose to comment suicide. After a mature reporter from South Weekly disguised as a worker in Foxconn and stayed there for a month, he found out the reason. According to Chang,
“The reporter found out that every single one of the workers in living through a life like a. They work, they off they go to sleep. And the next day, they repeat the same thing again. The reporter thinks that the only way to stop repeating life is that they end their precious life someday.”(Chang, 4)
During those 28 days, the reporter lived together with workers and get familiar with them. He found out that life in Foxconn is really boring and exhausting. No enough break, no entertainment time; except for sleeping, what they are doing is just working and working, And the life are just the same for everyday. However, how can regular human beings bear life which is vacuous in mind but completely exhausted in body? Under enormous pressure, it’s understandable to see why employees want to end their life by themselves, because it’s also one way of release. While we feel sympathy to those employees, we should also feel shame for the Foxconn com. It’s such an immoral company which abuse the employees, make employees want to avoid their life by extreme method. When the enterprise pays a lot of attention on their profits, it also should concern about their workers. Enforcing workers to work overtime illegally and restrict their leisure time is not the correct way to develop the company. Conversely, they should also take care of employees in order to make employees feel satisfied with the company, rely the trust on company and eager to make contribution to the company.

Shaw, Acren. What is it like to work for Apple? 15 Nov, 2008. http://www.appletell.com/apple/comment/ Web. 26 Jan2011.
If a company wants to be the top of the world, one of the requirements must be kind of its hirelings. Most of the top companies treat their employees well and their employees also have strong aspiration to work in those enterprises. The Apple com. is another example.
Apple com.’s employees also enjoy comfortable working environment and satisfying payback. Like Shaw said, “Apple offers a 401 plan, a stock purchase plan, education reimbursement, and a 25% discount on Apple products and paid vacation.”People work Apple seems like truly love what they do for a living. Although there are still some strict policies about divulging information on various things, but they still want to stay there. One of the employee says, “I would not trade it for anything” when she was asked whether she likes working for Apple. It’s not easy for a company to gain complete trust from its employees, and it’s also not easy for employees to rely their whole life on a company.
Not only the employees have happy lives, but also the company gets a lot of advantages. Due to the attracting conditions, interviewees with extraordinary skills are easily gathered in such companies. As the writer describes, “Partners provide the resources and recruitment opportunities necessary to help us find new talent and further out commitment.” With employees’ different perspectives and skills and achieve their goal of making the best products on the market. As a result, Apple has become the biggest cell phone manufacturers in the world, which also defeat Nokia. It’s no doubt that Apple Inc.’s future will be brilliant if they still treat its employees considerately.

n.p. Wal-Mart takes hits on worker treatment 22 Jun,2004. http://www.usatoday.com. Web. 25 Jan, 2011.
The problem of treating employees badly is all over the world. Even Wal-mart, the world’s largest employer is facing the heavy losses in both reputation and money because of the scandal of treating employees unfairly.
The workers in Wal-mart have to accept a lot of inequality in many aspects. First of all, they were paid in relative low wages. The average salary for a family in Wal-mart is 13,861dollars per year while the federal’s lowest wage for a family is 14,630 dollars per year. Thus the quality of Wal-mart’s employees’ life is inferior to others’. Secondly, staff in Wal-mart is always enforced work overtime, they are even not allowed to take a rest and have lunch time. There are also several ethical problem being accused since female workers feel discriminatory when they are trying to be hired and treated in work areas. In addition, the health insurance covers in Wal-mart is much less than the other enterprises. It’s obvious to see that employees in Wal-mart are suffering the tortures both mentally and physically. Although they work very hard, they didn’t receive equivalent reward and guaranteed future.
Certainly, Wal-mart is also facing a lot of trouble. According to the report, “Roughly 40 lawsuits have been filed by employees who say they were foced to work overtime for no pay. The company is facing a sexual discrimination lawsuit in California that could become the largest such case in history.” Lawsuits from several states all over the USA cost the company millions of dollars, and the society criticized the company extremely severe. In order to smooth over the fault, Wal-mart have to expanded into the 680 billion dollars retail grocery business and hiring more than 1 million employees in the nest five years.

After a reporter from Southern Weekly disguised as a worker for 28 days, he found out the reason why so many workers choose to end their lives. As he said, “Every single one of the workers is living through a life like a clock. They work, they off, they go to sleep, and the next day, they repeat the same thing again. The only way to stop this repeating life is that they end their precious life someday.” Workers in Foxconn com. really had a bad life; they had to work continuously for more than 10 hours a day. The enormous pressure and heavy burden make them feel hopeless. They almost have no leisure time and recreational activities; there life is boring and unanimate.

#19 Resource1.2

Yesterday, I discussed how the Google com. treat its employees will based on the article “Why is Google so Great?” From the article, there a lot of evidence to prove how many benefits and good environments Googlers are enjoying. They get benefits both in materially and spiritual aspect. Since the Google’s leaders treat people with respect, all the staff has really comfortable places and conditions to work in. Not only the workers can gain a lot of advantages from being well treated, but the company also can reap a lot of rewards. First of all, since the attractive factors, abundant amounts of people from all over the world eager to work in Google’s company. In this article, the author provides a lot of information about the welfare for employees. The benefits covered almost every aspect in human’s life, such as the tuition reimbursement, unlimited sick leave, medical security, long time break, and even special treatment for new parents.      In my research paper, my argument will be the tremendous difference for both employees and companies between companies treat their employees badly and well. Firstly, I will introduce the topic by the Dollhouse. There are a lot of information and evidence in the first season of Dollhouse that shows how the unfair treatments to their employees affect the Dollhouse and actives. After point out my argument, I will connect the argument with the reality. Firstly, I will show some example of the unjust treatment in reality and the consequence. The examples will be about the suicide in Foxccon, child labor in South China, past law suit. I will also discuss how these events influence the labor and companies. Then, I will provide some theory and example. Like how the Google become the best enterprise because of the good employee treatment. And the information from The Principles of Economics also supports how the good treatment improve the company.

#16 Prospectus

After watching almost the full first season of Dollhouse, there a lot of character with distinctive characters that attract me a lot; however, the deepest impression for me is how the company treat its employees. Exteriorly, the Dollhouse really provide an excellent environment for employees; however, when they are accepted the treatment and execute the task, the company is really cold-blooded. They let actives to suffer extremely pain, participate in tough missions and have the rule to give up them once they fail the tasks. I don’t like the way they treat employees. Not only the employees get hurt in both metal and physical aspect, but also the enterprise itself receives damages. There are a lot of scenes to see how the employees get hurts, but also several scenes in later episodes also shows how the company get damaged. As a result, my proposed argument is: What’s the benefit for both companies and employees if companies treat employees well?
In the real world, there are also a lot of employees being treated badly. Firms always want to increase their profit, but sometimes with extreme methods. However, using the employees exceeding is bad for the company. When the companies overuse their workers, they will undergo big pressure and get physical degradation, the production of the company will also be affected. Conversely, nowadays, there are still a lot of companies changed their rules to take care of their staff to make sure the general operation of their firms. Furthermore, workers will also be satisfied with working in the company continuously.

#15 Semicolon

As an international student who learns English as a second language, I always face a lot of trouble to write articles in right grammar and usage rules. There a lot of usage rules I always mess them up and a lot of grammar rules I even don’t know. It’s annoying, huh. After the practice of punctuation last week, I found that I always use the punctuations in unsuitable way, especially semicolons.
Before that, I always thought semicolons are just a punctuations have closely usage of periods. And I use it when I want to lengthen a sentence since two sentences connected with a semicolons is also one sentence and often add the semicolons before “and”. However, there are also several restraints of using semicolons. I google the rules of semicolons, and find several rules on grammar.com.
First rule, use a semicolon in place of a period to separate two sentences where the conjunction has been left out. Second rule, It is preferable to use a semicolon before introductory words such as however, therefore, that is, i.e., for example, e.g..Third rule, use the semicolon to separate units of a series when one or more of the units contain commas. Last, use the semicolon between two sentecces joined by a coordinating conjunction when one or more commas appear in the first sentences.
Although i still have some confused about these rules, it's still very useful to help me to use these punctuations appropriately.

#14 About Episode Analysis

Since I have watched almost the full first season of “Dollhouse”, my episode analysis will base on this TV series for sure. Although there is a new character with special personality in almost every episode, I will still focus on the company.
However, what I concentrate is not the heroine Echo, but the operation of this enterprise. In every episode, there always the scene those actives lay on the magic chair, undergoing the suffering brainwashing again and again. I don’t like the way the company use its employees. Sometimes, the company just treats those workers as machines which can help them earn considerable profits by finish clients’ various impractical request. I’ll use two specific scenes which in episode 2, 4 and 9 to show how the dollhouse treats the dolls and dolls’ hurt both mentally and physically. In the second episode, Echo was dispatched to take an adventure with a man who was insane. Echo was being chased and almost being killed, I don’t appreciate the style of the company since it still let actives execute tasks though the director knew there will be huge risks. In episode 4, when Echo failed to finish the mission and was almost being arrested by the police, the Dollhouse decide to kill her instead of being captured without any hesitation because they thought the reputation of the company is more important than employees’ life. And in episode 9, we saw how painful the treatment is when Dominic was enforced to experience it.
As a result, the argument of my episode analysis will be companies should still concern about the right of their employees instead of treat them roughly. And then I will connect the argument with reality since there are also many workers face the unfair treatment in companies.

# 13 Dollhouse S1E10

Can’t believe it’s already the 10th episode. During this episode, Echo was imprinted as Adelle’s good friends Margaret, rich women who had two children and a husband much younger than him, and had a deep love with horses. She felt that there was someone going to kill her so she left her memory at the dollhouse and ask Adelle to make her rebirth. I think the background of this story is ridiculous; however, the murder, also the son of Margaret – Nicolas, really reflect something.
Margaret is a strong and tough female; although she had a rigid outward appearance, she still had a gentle heart inside of her. As a mother, Margaret maybe too much restricts to her children; however, which mother doesn’t love her children? Nicolas is such a terrible son. Not only for him obsessed in gambling, but also for him kill his mother to escape from her. Because of losing too much money, Nicolas plan to sell the horse which his mother liked most, in order to make his plan successful, he killed his mother, and even wanted to impute the crime to Jack.
When Nicolas told Echo that he found that Echo was exactly his mother, I wonder that if he really feel the guilty to loss so much money and let his money down. Maybe it’s also one part of his conspiracy, and what he said is just to make Echo trust him and suspect her husband Jack. It’s really a shame to see Nicolas pushed Echo on the bed and wanted to kill her again.
What’s more, it’s the first time for me to feel the aloneness of Topher when he had to create a friend to celebrate his birthday once a year.

#12 Dollhouse S1E9

This episode is kind of complex, Dominic is pointed out as the traitor; Dewitt met Roger – the person imprinted in Victor during her two-days off. Sierra and Echo were imprinted as two spies to find out the traitor in Dollhouse.
When Dominic was caught by Echo, what he said was thought provoking. Now, I’m thinking the purpose of build this Dollhouse. During the previous episodes, I always thought the dollhouse is just a company which get numerous profit by satisfy clients need and make the fantasies come true. Although Dewitt is in charge of the Dollhouse, but she still is a employee. She tries her best to make actives finish their job; what she focused is about achievement. As a result, while Dominic was worried about Echo may become another Alpha and hurt human beings, Dewitt still put Echo in essential positions because Dewitt thought Echo’s behavior is unpredictable but outstanding. However, Dewitt didn’t ever think about the real purpose of the existence of Dollhouse. As Dominic said, Dewitt can change dolls to anybody she likes, but someday in the future, dolls may change her into anybody.
Dolls can be regarded as robots in some angle of view. How will the world be if robots control the human being and the whole world? With the help of high-tech, human can achieve a lot of dreams. One of the most excellent productions is robots; however, it’s also the most controversial production. It’s really hard to imagine the world which all relies on robots instead of humans.
Dominic’s word really make me concern about what will Echo do in the future when her mind can totally dominate herself.

#11 Dollhouse S1E7

The seventh episode is a breakthrough because we get to know more and more about the original Echo – Caroline such as her boyfriend and her plan to strike down the Rossum Corporation. Echo remembered her because of the drug, and the drug is disseminated because of a greedy student – Sam.
Greediness is really evil and scaring. In order to get billions of dollars, Sam decided to steal the medicine from Rossum to Bel Med Tec.; moreover, he spared no expense in killing his best partner and friend Owen just because he didn’t agree with what Sam was doing, and in spreading the medicine around the whole campus, which made so many people insane. Admittedly, money is really a wonderful thing, and rich people can have much better life and make a lot of things that poor people can just imagine come true; however, compare to moral, which is more important? Sometimes, I truly can’t understand why people still want to get the benifit by hurting people badly. Won’t they feel the conscious guilty?
In addition, the reason why Echo plan to defeat the Rossum is she hate the company use inculpable animals to test the medicine. In reality, it’s also a controversial topic. Many people argue about whether cosmetic company should test their cosmetics on animals. Personally, I think it’s not very suitable to do experiment on animals because they are still animated. As a result, I am kind of like the Body Shop because they against to have animals be their trail targets.
Now, parts of Echo’s memory has restored, I am so curious about what will she do next.

#10 Dollhouse S1E6

The sixth episode, I think it is a transition, it didn’t focus on Echo’s task for the whole 40 minutes; instead, it mentioned a lot of other events and people. Like one of the client Joel Mynor, the FBI Paul Ballard and Sierra. And among them, Paul Ballard appears on the screen for a long time.
During the several episodes before, I was quite admiring Paul’s spirit of digging at things which he believes existed but no one support him. Nowadays, not many people can persist on a truly difficult task, especially not their responsibility. However, in this episode, when Paul found out that Joel Mynor was one of the clients of Dollhouse and found Echo, he could do nothing but escape while the police cars arrived at Joel’s house. Now I’m wondering that whether Paul should still focus on crashing the doll house. The disparity of strength between Paul and Dollhouse is huge. Not only Paul is being chased but Mellie, the woman who he loves also get threatened. Moreover, how can Paul imagine that Mellie is also one of the employees in the Dollhouse? As I see, it’s impossible for Paul to make any damage to the Dollhouse.
But I am pretty sure that it’s not Paul’s fault. In today’s society, it’s always seems like money talks. Like Paul, although he had already get enough evidence to arrest Joel, he had to run away when the police come because Joel is rich, which means he can use his money to solve the problem that he might be sent to jail and even make Paul be captured. Sometimes, the society is unfair; but it’s reality.
Maybe in the following episode, there will be a support which is as strong as the Dollhouse to stand behind Paul and help him.

#9 Dollhouse S1E5

The fifth episode is not wonderful as I thought, maybe because I don’t have a lot of interest about religion. In this episode, the dollhouse use the high-technology to make Echo blind but let others to see during Echo’s eye which I think is really cruel. The dollhouse accept the task from the senator and make Echo to be a blind believer with religious faith and join in the garden owned by Jonas Sparrow who the agent want to bear down.
Jonas Sparrow has a completed background; he had been arrested for several times so he saw a lot of ugly aspects of the world. Maybe that’s reason he build the garden and protect it with store the guns in the basement. I appreciate that his behavior of helping helpless people to escape from where they suffered a lot. Also, I think people should have some faith when they think they are weak, like Sparrow has a strong faith with god. However, when they were surrounded by the police, I don’t like what Sparrow told Seth to do. Because he believed the god too much, he asked all of the people just stay at the room and wait to meet their death without doing anything. I don’t think its right to believe the god too much, everyone should have the faith with their own. When people are facing troubles and difficulties, what they should do is try their best to compass them instead of doing nothing and imagine someone will give their hand. The god who will always help you is yourself.
At the end of the episode, when Echo saw the man who had scolded to her, her acting is strange, I’m so looking forward to what Echo will be in the later episodes.

#8 High School is Hell

The “High School is Hell” is really long and cogent episode analysis. Collating the article with the requirements of a episode analysis, the writer really did a great job.
First of all, the thesis of the essay is very clear, the frequently appeared metaphors’ essential function in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The writer illustrated the effect of metaphor nicely. Metaphor in this TV series make the situations in the drama connect with the situations in reality and let audiences find more common and connection between the real world and imagination; moreover, as the writer mentioned, the balance of irony, the literal and metaphor made the drama more thought-provoking.
Secondly, the writer quoted abundant information from the show, including conversation between several characters. With the help of these sites, readers can understand the statement of the article more clearly. Moreover, the brief introduction of the three seasons at the last part of the essay is really comprehensive; although I have never seen any episode of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I know the main characters and plots of the show distinctly. In the article, there are also several scenes the writer quoted which helped he a lot to reinforce his thesis.
Since one of the most important uses of metaphor is build a link between the show and the reality. The writer also discussed a lot about the reality. He points out students nowadays in high school also have to compass a lot of pressure like parents meeting, exams, and balls. Audience may think the show is incredible without metaphor.
After reading this article, I have more understanding about how to write an episode analysis.

#7 Dollhouse S1E4

The fourth episode is really a big shock; during the first three episodes, Echo always accomplished the tasks successfully though sometimes there are little surprises. But in this episode, Echo’s memory was being wiped by someone in purpose and it brought big trouble to the company.
Last few days, I always thought the Dewitt is an immoral woman who has only 2 focus – continuous clients and money; however, after watching this episode, I begin to find some shining point of her. When Echo was hurt and turned back to a 12 years old, rolling up and talking to herself, it’s obvious to see that it’s impossible to prospect Echo to get right and finished client’s requirement which means the reputation of the enterprise would be ruined. At this moment, the director Dewitt, who is an imposed and intelligent woman, figured out the way to solve the problem immediately. She asked Topher to create a new Taffy – the excellent thief by imbedded memory to another “Doll” Sierra. Unfortunately, Sierra doesn’t provide a lot of help due to Echo’s muff. The ringing alarm means that Echo and other two partners would be arrested; and “Dollhouse” will be affected tremendously. Between the best employee of the company and the reputation of the company, Dewitt chose to remain the prestige of the company without any hesitation. Many people will think Dewitt is too cold-blooded, but people sometimes should give up something in order to get big success. Like the concept of opportunity cost, the cost of something is what you give up to get it. From some aspect, Dewitt did the right decision.
From this episode, it’s obvious to see that Alpha is still alive and will be a big threat to both Echo and the company.

#6 Dollhouse S1E3

Dollhouse is getting more and more attracting; it’s expecting to see the appearance of the real Echo.
In this episode, Echo is dispatched to be a vocal accompany of the popular singer Rayna and protect her instinctively. The aspect I pay more attention is not the Echo’s outstanding behavior, but the singer Rayna.
At first, I thought the problem is just the insane man in yellow, but later I found that Rayna also had something wrong – she wanted to die and make a plan to let one of her fan killed her. In my opinion, she is feebleminded. Externally, she is a prevalent singer with thousands of fans; but inside, she is really weak. I think it’s a normal phenomenon that people is really shining in front of the crowd but brittle and upset when they are alone. Under the tremendous pressure, people always incline to escape; however, I still think it’s perfunctory if a person wants to end his or her own life. Life is colorful because it’s full of challenge and uncertainty; the right way to treat life is to face those problems.
I appreciate the way Echo had done; she didn’t permit Rayna to shirk when the crazy man kidnapped the big fan of Rayna and threatened her to see him, instead, Echo let Rayna to meet with the man and let her face the fear of death; she hit Rayna, seize her by the throat and push her down (of course with a rope tied oh her hands). It’s obvious to see Echo’s method is successful when Rayna said she didn’t want anybody get hurt and implored to Echo that she doesn’t want to dead.
I’m still looking forward to see Echo’s performance, it’s really a big step since Echo can control the whole situation.

#5 Dollhouse S1E2

As I thought it was attracting after I saw the first episode of “Dollhouse”, I choose to watch the second episode. This episode is much more bloody and scaring than the first one. To be frank, I am really afraid to see those scenes with guns and corpses so I pressed the stop button and closed my eyes for several times.
From the second episode, I have more feeling of how cruel the enterprise is and how pathetic echo’s life is. The only the company concerned about is the exorbitant fee, thus Echo have to take the risk of being killed by stay with a insane man who likes to hunting women. I was really worried about her when she tried her best to escape from the crazy man and feel sympathy for her when she was being afflicted by the man.
However, there is something new I found in the episode. That’s the fortitude deeply inside of Echo despite of the memory and personality embedded to her. After suffered a lot both mentally and physically, Echo still made every effort to survive. Especially when she met Boyd, the only person she trusts with giving her life. It supposed to be Echo who needs comfort, but actually, Echo behaved very brave and strong. She persisted to fight against with Richard, try something she never did like using a gun and conversely threatened Richard. The real Echo is a outstanding woman who is still acting composed at special moment and has a strong willing to compass everything. Though has a little bit of scared, I will still watch Dollhouse because I’m looking forward to see the real Echo who has more internal personality.

#4 Dollhouse S1E1

Since I haven’t seen many science fictions and am afraid of those bloody scenes, I first choose to watch the “Dollhouse” which has more plots. Without the abstract thought and space, I was attracted by “Dollhouse”.
The “Dollhouse” is an excellent company to help people to solve their problem or make their dreams come true with high-tech; however, I don’t like the high technique skills and the method to finish the work very much. When the employees’ memories were being wiped or embedded, the employees are suffering. The cramp and the painful expression on employees show how cold-blooded the company is. In the first episode, when Echo accomplished her task and her memory were being removed, the way she walk out of the room is so spiritless and her eyes were so empty; it is so different from what she looked like when she was an energetic and glorious lawyers.
What’s more, what the “Dollhouse” care is to satisfies the clients’ needs and avoid the investigation of FBI. It not only ignores the employees’ feeling, but also neglects the grave situation; what they considered is just the benefit to the company. Why the world should be so unaffectionate when the technology is developing so fast? One of the characters I like in the show is Boyd, the ex-cop, who is the minority in the company that still concern about the ethical implication and morality. In addition, the strong willing to help others in Echo’s mind also made her an adorable woman. I really hope her can escape from this exhausting enterprise and find her original memory and life back.

#3 About "The Train Job"

After saw “The Train Job” again, I fell that the sense of righteous in Malcolm’s heart was really worth of admired. Intelligent and audacity is not enough to be a captain and be followed by his crewed, having a virtuous morality is also extremely important.
Malcolm had reputation of committing a crime such as stealing; it’s obvious to see that Malcolm is familiar with doing such illegal crimes. However, nobody want to do crime if they have no worried about their life, right? He had to receive and grab those tasks because he needs money. Moreover, Niska is really a powerful person; Malcolm will suffer a lot if he didn’t accomplish the mission. Under the internal and external pressure, Malcolm stole the cargos with 20 Alliance vets sat in the same train and was attacked by one of them. But when he knew that what he had stolen is the requisite medicine for people and saw the upset and despairing expression on people’s face, Malcolm decided to go against Niska and turn the goods back. It’s not easy for everyone to give up something they get by tremendous effort and will bring assets back. Compare to Jayne, one of the crew who insist to continue the transaction because of the afraid of Niska and the desire to live, disregarded that he was shot and the captain hadn’t shown up, Malcolm has more personality charm.
Although River said “Mal” means bad in Latin, I thought Malcolm is a hero because he would rather abandon his benefit to help others.

#2 About “The Train Job”

This is the first time for me to see a science fiction in the form of drama because I don’t really like the huge stuff such as spaceships made up with cold iron. But after saw the episode “The Train Job”, the ample characters of main roles and the fascinating plot of the drama definitely attracted me a lot.
The main impression this episode left to me is the captain – Malcolm Reynolds – an intelligent, dauntless and kindhearted person. Since the ship Serenity always navigate at the fringes of the star system in order to escape from the Alliance and Reynolds really need money, he has to accept some illegal tasks such as stole two cargos of Alliance goods from a train. It’s obvious to see how valorous Reynolds is when he accept the train job under the repression and threaten given by the gang boss – Niska – who showed how he would torment a person if he dislikes; moreover, Reynolds is also brave enough to execute the task when he noticed that there are 20 Alliance police in the train. Compare to Zoe, who thought it’s infeasible to accomplish the mission at the serious risk of being caught, Reynolds believed that will be a lot fun. Neither Zoe nor I could understand what he was thinking about.
During the interrogation, the composure and wittiness Malcolm revealed made me feel surprised and admired. Both the deliberate lie and escape of the trap are amazing.
The most incredible scene is that Malcolm decided to turn the cargos back no matter how Niska would reply when he found the goods are the necessarily medicine to other peoples. Although he had to do some crime so as to maintain the life, he still had his own morality which can’t be beaten. When Malcolm return the medicine back, I suddenly felt that he is not just a weird captain who life is full of money and dodge, but also a righteous and compassionate person.

Introduce Myself

Hi, my name is Fan Yang, friends also call me fancy. I’m from Shanghai, China so I’m an international student. My major is pre-business and I’m going to choose finance as my major.
It’s the second time for me to stay in USA. I had been to America in summer with a summer camp 2 years ago. During the 2 weeks, I travelled to a lot of places like LA, San Francisco, New York and so on; moreover, I also visited several famous universities which attracted me a lot. Till now, I have stayed in Columbus for almost 4 months. University life in OSU is exciting and interesting in general. It’s really a pleasure to study in the biggest university in America but sometimes it really has big pressure to walk through the campus.
I’m really a talkative person; I always stay for a while in the cafeteria when I finished my meal in order to have some time to chat with my friends and I also spend a lot of times chatting online with my friends in China, I really miss them~~ Sometimes I even talk ardently to people that I just meet for the first time. Optimistic is also one of my obvious characters. I always wear a smile on my face and I won’t be beaten down by difficulties. Every time I face problem I will try my best to keep moving on. I think it’s partly thanks to my mum who is kind of strict to me. I began to play the piano when I was only 5 years old. During these 14 years, I wanted to give up several times when I thought I can’t squeeze enough time to practice playing the piano or I felt I lost the interest of piano; at those time, it’s my mother who always enforce me to sit back in front of the piano. She taught me to have persistence when the trouble comes. Nowadays, I will take several hours per week on my own initiative to play the piano because I think it’s an enjoyable way to release my pressure and promote my self-cultivation.
First blog, done~~\0/~~
