Because of preparing for the Gala Evening for the Chinese year, I didn’t write my paper for 2 days. The burden in these two days must be very heavy. :(
In this blog, I want to talk about the content, examples mainly. The primary source of my paper is the TV series, Dollhouse. It’s a science fiction which talks about a company which erases or imprints employees’ memory and send them to finish clients’ requirements. From the show, I feel sympathy for the employees since they are suffering in both physical and mental aspects while they are experiencing treatments or executing tasks. The company is really torturing its workers; as a result, the company also faced a lot of trouble.
Then I search the internet to find out some examples which can show the relationship between companies and workers. Eventually, I found four example companies; two of them are positive examples and other two are negative. One of the negative sample is Foxconn com.. There is report that there are 9 suicide occurred in the company within half a year. After a reporters’ experience, he found out the suffering life in the factory. Another example is Wal-mart, which receive more than 40 lawsuits because of the unfair treatment to the employees.
The two positive examples are Google com. and Apple Inc. These two technological companies both choose to treat their employees considerately and nicely. Workers there can enjoy the comfortable environment during the work time, and they can also receive a lot of benefits. These two manufacturers are also developing in fast pace because the efficient workers.
Since google, apple and dollhouse are all high-tech company, there may also be some relationship between technology and workers. I’ll further my topic, but I haven’t think it specifically.
I think this is an interesting topic to talk about. And I can relate it to something happened last year...the entertainment company in Korea...if you know what I am talking about.
