# 47 Anything

It’s Sunday, but I got up a little bit of earlier today than normal since there was a basketball game held by UCSO (Undergraduate Chinese Student Organization). I am one of the committee of the organization so I have to be there. When I get to the RPAC, the basketball court was full of people. It’s surprised to see so many guys participate in this game passionately.
The process of the game is really exciting and intensive. To be frankly, I don’t know much about basketball game, so I may focus on many other things excludes their skills during the game. All of the team members tried their best; I admired their spirit to win the game through their enormous effort. However, I still think players may be too hard so they are readily to get hurt. Sometimes, I am so scared to see balls rush to someone with high speed or players collide with each other and tussle on the ground in order to get the ball.
Actually, this is not the problem I discovered till today. We can always hear from newspapers that athletes get hurt so they have to leave the court and taken care for a while, as short as one week, long as one year. Although sports are athletes’’ career, do they worth to compete the rival in full force even disregard their life and health? Do they concern about the achievement and ranking too much? When outstanding athletes win the competition, stand on the award platform and received the flowers and applause, it’s really hard to imagine how much effort and pain they have suffered in the past several years.
